MATERIALS
All pieces are cast in 100% recycled solid 925 Sterling Silver, 9ct or 18ct Yellow Gold. Gold Vermeil items are made from 925 Silver, coated with 3 microns (an extra thick layer) of 18ct Yellow Gold. To protect pieces from the elements and any metal-on-metal contact when travelling, store separately in either a box or bag.
All gemstones are formed naturally, not man-made or lab-grown. Stones are sourced from fair trade organisations who either oversee or own the mines, and then run their own cutting/polishing workshops - hence each stone is conflict-free and can be traced back to its origin. In this way, we support communities in the developing countries and their surrounding environments. -
SOLID SILVER - SOLID GOLD - GEMSTONE CARE
To brighten piece:
Mix a couple drops of washing up liquid with warm water. Place item in mixture and scrub with a softened toothbrush head*. Dry thoroughly.
To deep clean:
Mix a teaspoon of bicarbonate or baking soda with warm water. Place item in mixture and and scrub with a softened toothbrush head*. Leave piece in glass for 30 minutes and repeat. Dry thoroughly.
*Avoid brushing any gemstones that are semi-precious. (Precious stones: diamond, sapphire, emerald, ruby). -
GOLD VERMEIL CARE
Prevent tarnish by removing your piece before showering or drying it off with a cloth afterwards. Avoid wearing it when putting on perfumes and lotions.
To brighten piece:
Rub and polish piece with soft cotton or microfibre cloth. Avoid using the jewellery polishing cloths as these contain chemicals that may wear away the gold plating.
To deep clean:
Mix a couple drops of washing up liquid with warm water. Wet the cloth and gently rub over your piece. Rinse and then dry thoroughly. Avoid cleaning Gold Vemeil items with any type of brush head as this may damage it.
